CHALLENGE

The current app landscape offers a limited amount of applications that showcase features where users can discover new bars, restaurants and nightclubs. And if there are apps that exist with those features, there are none that offer a "live" feature, where users can find hot spots based off of their current location in an interactive map. Due to this limited landscape, most people are left guessing what to do at night and end up being dissapointed wasting a potentially good night out. 

SUMMARY

Peoply is the all in one social nightlife app that allows users to find the best hotspots near their area. Using geolocation, Peoply is able to populate an interactive map in "live time" with dynamic pins showing the best lounges, restaurants, bars and clubs to check out and details of each location. Peoply also gives the user the ability to see how many people are at any given location and the capacity percentage to determine if it is a good spot to check out. Gone are the nights of just winging it, now there is an app that can help you confidently plan the perfect night.

THE GOAL

The goal for Peoply is to emerge as the premier nightlife app on the market, revolutionizing how people discover vibrant social venues. Peoply's aim is to offer a comprehensive solution for individuals seeking the best hotspots to enjoy with friends. With its innovative "live" map and dynamic pins, users can confidently explore any city, uncovering hidden gems in bars, clubs, and lounges that were previously difficult to locate. Peoply's unique features fill a gap in the market, providing unparalleled ease and excitement in nightlife exploration.

USER RESEARCH

I started with the research phase to assess the market for this product and what it would need to offer in order for it to produce the goals I established. I conducted various user interviews with people from different age groups and backgrounds. These interview results revealed the “pain points” and frustrations that the target audience experienced when trying to identify fun locales to visit at night time.

Based off of the valuable information I obtained from the user interviews, I was able to create two user personas which represented my target audience's core needs and frustrations.

After gathering insight from potential users and building out representations of my ideal target audience through personas, the Peoply app took its final shape.

ONBOARDING

The onboarding process is seamless and easy to navigate. Once a user inputs their account information, they are met with a few onboarding screens to offer them a snapshot of Peoply's main features and tips. 

 

THE PEOPLY MAP

As soon as any user signs into the app, they are met with a rich interactive map, which in live time is showing all the hotspots based off of their current location. Peoply users can toggle between their "recents" or click on any of the pins in the map to discover new locations which provide in depth information giving users the ability to check capacity, get on guestlists or reserve a table.

GET ON GUESTLIST

Another great feature from this app, is the ability for users to add themselves to guestlists for any location they want to visit. Once a user fills out their guest information and clicks on the "get on guestlist" button, they are given a barcode which can then be shown at the door to the security. Alleviating any frustration of waiting in line and ruining a potentially great night out.

RESERVE A TABLE

Users can also reserve a table through the app when you find a restaurant or bar that you like. Peoply users are able to reserve a time, date and capacity amount all through the app instead of having to call the location and wait to make a reservation. The ability to get everything done in one app, makes Peoply the perfect solution for your night time adventures.

WHAT'S NEXT FOR PEOPLY?

After completing usability tests with a number of users, I noticed there was common feedback to include events on the Peoply locations. Such a capability would be a great opportunity for future expansion of the app. This could facilitate participating bars and clubs to promote their nightly events directly on Peoply in order to drive ticket sales and incentivize users to come back to the app.
